La Posada Hotel is more than a boutique retreat in the heart of Milford- it is a living love story, woven from the dreams of Uncle Felix and Aunt Carol. A tale of serendipity, devotion, and the magic that happens when two distant worlds find home in each other.
A Romance Written in Letters
Uncle Felix grew up surrounded by the vibrant colors and flavors of Mérida, Mexico, while Aunt Carol called the rolling hills of Milford, Pennsylvania her home. Fate brought them together as pen pals, their friendship blossoming through handwritten letters that crossed borders and bridged cultures. Each envelope carried stories, laughter, and hopes for the future-until, one day, those letters became love notes.
From Mérida to Milford: A New Chapter
After years of exchanging words and dreams, Felix journeyed north to Milford, where he and Carol were married. Together, they opened the doors to Felix’s Cantina-a warm, welcoming space inspired by Felix’s Yucatecan heritage and Carol’s love for her hometown. The Cantina quickly became a gathering place, where locals and travelers alike could savor authentic dishes, share stories, and celebrate life’s everyday joys.
